Tips for breakfast
Top tip for breakfast is NO SOLO carbs: goodbye ‘just cereal’ or plain toast or a fruit smoothie or ‘just a banana’! Carbs need to be ‘dressed up’ with protein and fibre and good fats (yogurt, avocado).
So try:
Eggs! With veggies like spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms etc and some wholemeal/seeded toast
Beans: your pre-batch cooked Black Beans with eggs and veggies
Wholemeal toast WITH nut butter and a sliced pear
Overnight oats WITH yogurt, nuts and fruit
Porridge WITH yogurt, nut butter and fruit
Banana WITH nut butter
Smoothie WITH yogurt, oats, fruit and nut butter
And for weekends, goodies like Shakshuka, Huevos Rancheros and wholegrain pancakes are always a treat!
