Tips for breakfast

Top tip for breakfast is NO SOLO carbs: goodbye ‘just cereal’ or plain toast or a fruit smoothie or ‘just a banana’! Carbs need to be ‘dressed up’ with protein and fibre and good fats (yogurt, avocado).

So try:

  • Eggs! With veggies like spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms etc and some wholemeal/seeded toast

  • Beans: your pre-batch cooked Black Beans with eggs and veggies

  • Wholemeal toast WITH nut butter and a sliced pear

  • Overnight oats WITH yogurt, nuts and fruit

  • Porridge WITH yogurt, nut butter and fruit

  • Banana WITH nut butter

  • Smoothie WITH yogurt, oats, fruit and nut butter

And for weekends, goodies like Shakshuka, Huevos Rancheros and wholegrain pancakes are always a treat!
